What is The Student Showdown?
The Student Showdown is Liverpool’s premier student-focused combat sports series, hosting regular boxing and MMA events with electrifying fights and unbeatable live energy. It’s our mission provide a safe environment for wanting students to immerse themselves in the sporting world, either as a new hobby or as a stepping stone into a successful career. We allocate a huge focus on physical and mental health, forming a community, building confidence, forging resilience, and much more.
Tickets and attendance
1. What types of tickets are available?
Our ticket types vary depending on the venue! All information on ticket types and perks are available through our website.
2. Can I buy a ticket on the door?
All tickets are sold via our website, however some tickets may be available on the door depending on availability. We reccomend early booking as events often sell out.
3. Are tickets refundable?
Tickets are non-refundable. However, you can transfer your ticket to a friend if you’re unable to attend!
4. What happens if an event is canceled or postponed?
If an event is canceled, ticket holders will be contacted immediately with options for a full refund or rescheduling. Postponed events will honor all existing tickets for the new date.
5. Are there age restrictions for tickets?
Yes, all attendees must be 18+ and show valid ID at the door.
6. Can I upgrade my ticket on the night?
Upgrades depend on availability at the venue. We recommend booking your preferred ticket type in advance to guarantee access. Should you wish to upgrate, please contact us!
7. Are there any additional fees?
No, ticket prices include all standard fees and benefits as advertised.
8. Is seating guaranteed for group tickets?
Yes. Seated tickets for groups (e.g., Seated of 6 or VIP Booth of 8) are guaranteed together. The entire table or booth must be booked by a single person, who will act as the group’s main contact. This ensures your party sits together and allows us to manage reservations efficiently. Availability is limited, so we highly recommend booking early to secure your preferred table and avoid disappointment.
9. Can I bring friends who don’t have a ticket?
No, all attendees must have a valid ticket and valid ID to enter the venue.
Signing up to fight
1. How do I sign up to fight?
If were recuting fighters, you can register interest through our instagram page: @studentshowdown. You’ll need to provide your personal details, weight class, and fight history (if any). All registrations are subject to approval and safety clearance.
2. Can I fight if I’m a complete beginner?
Yes! We welcome fighters of all levels. Beginner-friendly divisions are available alongside competitive categories. And dont worry, youll be matched alongside skill level and weight class.
3. What are the rules for fighters?
All fighters must follow our official safety and competition rules, including approved gear, weight class limits, and medical clearance. Full rules are provided during registration.
4. Are medical checks required?
Yes. All fighters must pass a medical examination provided by us on the night before competing to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
5. Can I change my fight category or opponent?
Changes are subject to scheduling and availability. Please contact the Student Showdown team before the event for requests.
6. What happens if my fight is canceled or postponed?
You will be notified immediately. We’ll provide options to reschedule or transfer your fight to another event if possible.
7. What equipment or gear do I need?
Approved protective gear will be required depending on your fight category (e.g., gloves, mouthguard, headgear). Details are provided upon registration.

1. How do I stay updated on upcoming events?
The best way to stay in the loop is by following us on Instagram @studentshowdown, checking our website, and subscribing to our email notifications. We share fight announcements, ticket drops, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content across these channels.
2. How will I know when fighter sign-ups are open?
Fighter registration windows are announced on our socials and website. If you’re subscribed to our newsletter, you’ll receive early access to sign-up links so you don’t miss your chance.
3. Do I get updates about my ticket?
Yes. All ticket holders and registered fighters receive email confirmations and event updates. You can opt-out of email marketing by unsubscribing in any email you've recieved from us.
4. How can I contact Student Showdown if I have a question?

5. Will there be live updates during the event?
Yes. Follow our socials for real-time fight results, live stories, and highlight clips straight from ringside. Dont forget to share and tag us in your pics and clips too!
Policies and safety
1. What is the refund policy?
All tickets are non-refundable. However, they may be transferred to another person if you can’t attend. If an event is canceled, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer your ticket to a future event.
2. What happens if an event is postponed?
Your ticket will automatically be valid for the new date. If you can’t attend, contact us to arrange a transfer or refund.
3. What happens if a fight is canceled?
Occasionally, a fighter may withdraw due to injury or other reasons. Where possible, we will replace the fight to keep the card full. Refunds are not issued for individual fight changes.
4. What safety measures are in place for fighters?
All fighters must complete medical checks, compete in the correct weight class, and use approved protective gear. Qualified referees and medical staff are present at every event to ensure safety at all times.
5. What safety measures are in place for spectators?
We operate a zero-tolerance policy for violence, harassment, or unsafe behavior in the crowd. Security staff and medical teams are on site throughout the event.
6. Is there a code of conduct?
Yes. Fighters, staff, and spectators are expected to respect each other, the venue, and the sport. Anyone found breaking conduct rules may be removed without refund.
7. Can I bring bags or outside items into the venue?
Bag checks may be in place at entry, and outside food or drinks are not permitted. Prohibited items will be confiscated by security.
8. What happens if I lose my ticket or ID?
Tickets must be presented at the door, either printed or digital. All attendees must show valid photo ID if asked. Without ID, you will not be allowed entry, even with a ticket.
9. What should I do in case of an emergency?
Follow instructions from security and staff immediately. Emergency exits will be clearly marked throughout the venue.
